WHO WE ARE
GENEHEN GLOBAL CARE FOUNDATION is a non-profit organization registered on the 25th of February, 2023 with the Corporate Affairs Commission in Nigeria. The foundation is founded on an indefatigable passion and belief that every child deserves a chance at the rudimentary level of education to imbue and be equipped with the basic prerequisite foundation and knowledge to face the challenges and nitty-gritty of life for a better future. Our goal is to reduce child illiteracy in Nigeria. We advocate vehemently that today’s children are tomorrow’s leaders and thus deserve the best possible education.
Prior to the foundation’s registration. For the past four years, members of this organization have discreetly sponsored around thirty (30) indigent and vulnerable children across Nigeria’s states. The organization continues to look out for children whose parents or guardians are unable to pay their school fees or other educational items such as school bags, uniforms, shoes, books, and other important educational requirements. In some cases, indigent children’s health care is managed. The foundation also extends these visitations to the streets, engaging with children who are barrow pushers and those hawking on the streets, making inquiries on why they are not in school, and at the end we provide them with the funding they need to get back to school, if their challenge is determined to be lack of funds.
On special occasions such as children’s day, the foundation visits elementary schools to deliver lectures on moral teachings and other topics pertaining to children, after which the students receive gifts. Every year, Christmas festivities are organised for these disadvantaged children. The organisation employs a variety of avenues to identify talented youngsters. Spelling B and mathematics competitions are some methods the foundation employs to identify and award scholarships to gifted students.
AIMS
Accordingly, the goal of GENEHEN GLOBAL CARE FOUNDATION is aimed towards identifying indigent and vulnerable children around Nigeria. Some of these children are wards of poor guardians, orphans, while some of them have parents who are incapable of sponsoring their basic education. We therefore aim at assisting these children of indigent parents or guardians to go back to school, and equally help those of them who wish to acquire vocational skills to do so by will and evaluation.
In addition, the activities of Genehen Global Care Foundation aim to bring government-owned nursery, primary, and secondary schools up to par with those of private schools by corroborating with state governments.
OBJECTIVES
“Aligned with our vision, our objective is to thwart the natural gravitation of underprivileged children towards gang-related activities and street begging. Simultaneously, we aspire to bridge the substantial disparity between public and private schools. By providing a nurturing haven where children’s potential is cultivated and formal education is championed, we strive to empower these young minds, guiding them away from detrimental paths and propelling them toward a future of promise and possibility.”
